Marshall Liger, LVT

Marshall has been in the veterinary field since 1997. In 2003, he graduated from Trident Technical College’s Veterinary Technology program and was recognized by the state of South Carolina as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. He is also a Certified Avian Specialist. Marshall was LVT of the year in South Carolina for 2009.
Marshall thoroughly enjoys his work and is excited about all the advancements that are always forthcoming to help pets live longer, happier lives.
In addition to working in a veterinary hospital, Marshall is involved with animals in other ways. As a former Adjunct Instructor at TTC’s Vet Tech program, he continues to teach the avian course work, pro bono. He has served on the board of directors for the South Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians and currently serves on the board of directors for the American Federation of Aviculture, a national non-profit that works to promote the advance of aviculture. Marshall also owns and operates Palmetto Parrots, a multifaceted operation that works with endangered species for which he has federal permits to possess as well as offering consulting to pet bird owners, writing for national and international publications, and speaking at conventions nationwide.
When he has time away from animals, Marshall enjoys many different things. Time with good friends, cooking, comedy improvs, and the rare opportunity to travel are at the top of the list.
